Architecture

Signal → Risk → Route → Broker

Your alert fires a webhook. VoltRouter authenticates it, checks it against the risk rules you set, and routes it to your broker. No session to manage. No reconnects to script.

Your signal. Your broker. Your rules.

Built for one job: get your signal to your broker inside the rules you set. Here is what that means in practice.

Do my risk rules live in my bot, or outside it?
Outside it. You set position limits, daily spend, rate limits and kill switch rules in advance. VoltRouter enforces them on every signal at routing time, whatever sent the signal: a charting alert, a script, or an AI agent. The sender never holds your broker credentials and cannot talk its way past a rule.
Do I need a different integration for every broker?
No. One JSON payload, one webhook URL. VoltRouter resolves the symbol and the order type for the venue you route to. Add a second broker account and the same payload shape routes to it.
What do I get back when a signal fires?
A receipt. Every accepted signal records when it was received, when it was routed, and what the broker said, including refusals in the broker's own words. Fills are matched back to the signal, so the log shows signal, order and outcome on one row.
I trade at IBKR. Do I still need to run IB Gateway?
No. VoltRouter runs a dedicated Gateway for your account on our infrastructure, reconnects it, restarts it in a window you choose, and keeps it ready to execute. That is the a month. Nothing to install, no VPS, no session scripts.

Create your account, connect a broker, point your alerts at your webhook URL. Set the limits once. VoltRouter enforces them on every signal after that.
